The stunning canton of Ticino is situated at the border areas of Switzerland and Italy. The area is dominated by Italian speaking Swiss folk thus the official language of this region is exclusively Italian.
Geographically, the canton of Ticino lies in the extreme south of the country itself. In this beautiful landscape is the Monte Generoso, a massy topographic structure which adds majesty to this place. Monte Genereso is splendidly located between two lakes Como and Lugano. The mountain is partially present in Italian and Swiss territory. The northern parts are located in Italy while the southern and western parts are in Switzerland.
A view from far away highlights the sheer excellence of this mountain as it reaches for the skies. A person wonders how beautiful the scene would be from the top of the mountain and rightly so. The summit is accessible to visitors and they can opt for either hiking or going up by the railway route. The height of the Monte Generoso is just a little over a kilometer.
If you want to go sight-seeing then you will enjoy every bit of this place. The scene from Monte Generoso is bound to take your breath away as it shows God’s perfect work on this planet. You see the lake Como and Lugano and also the lakes Varese and Maggiore, to the north you see famous Alps Mountains. If lucky and the weather supports, you might be able to the take a peek at the Apennine mountains in the background.
The different geographical features visible from that height blend so nicely together that you will be left awe-struck by witnessing the tremendous balance of nature. Inspiration flows from the view and Edward Lear, an artist and painter, had painted this scene back in the 19th century which is now placed in the Ashmolean Museum.
